Produced by COVAN – Cooperativa Olivicoltori Andriesi, founded in 1959. A community bringing together 70 members, custodians from generation to generation of over 1.200 hectares of Coratina single-variety olive groves.
A history spanning over sixty years, made of experts hands, shared seasons and a sole objective: to produce excellent extra virgin olive oil, without ever compromising.
Deep roots and shared vision
COVAN – Cooperativa Olivicoltori Andriesi, founded in 1959 in Andria, is a historic collective uniting today 70 members owning combinedly over 1,200 hectares of olive groves yielding exclusively Coratina Monocultivar variety, the cultivar which more than any other identifies with olive growing Puglia.
Our members are custodians of the land and of the quality: they cultivate with passion and expertise, harvesting healthy, aromatic fruits, respecting natural rhythms. The cooperative dedicates an equally rigorous and innovative approach to this primarily important raw material.
Technology at the service of tradition
COVAN applies modern and technologically advanced equipment to its production process in order to follow each working phase with the utmost accuracy and cleanliness.
The pressing of the olives occurs at low temperature, within a few hours from harvesting, to preserve the integrity of the fruits and to grant an extraction that will enhance all the sensory and nutritional properties of the Coratina variety.
From selecting the olives to filtering the oil, from storage of the product to bottling it, each step is thought and intended to convert agricultural distinction into extra virgin olive oil of superb quality, in total observation of the varietal characteristics.
Corona delle Puglie is the result of this concocted balance: an authentic, vigorous extra virgin olive oil, ultra rich in polyphenols, which speaks sincerely about the territory from which it originates and about the cooperation which brings it to life.
